General Laborer/Foreman

Lovewell Fencing, Inc. located in Davenport, IA, has immediate openings for general laborer/foreman positions. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, self-starter individuals. The successful candidate must meet the following qualifications:

previous experience in heavy construction, or similar, with common construction skills and knowledge.
Candidates MUST have a valid driver’s license, Class A CDL or ability and willingness to obtain is a plus.
Dependability, strong work ethic, positive attitude and a drive to succeed are critical.
Effective communication skills are a must.
High school degree required.

Essential Job Functions:

Travel, including overnight, Monday through Friday, is required up to 50-75% of the time but will vary depending on job locations.
Candidates should be able to lift 100 lbs. and lift 30 lbs. overhead and must be willing to work outside year-round.

This is a non-exempt, hourly, position, hourly rate up to $35 based upon experience, plus bonus potential. During the construction season overtime will be available. Equipment Operator - DOT Guardrail Crew

Lovewell Fence is looking for a dependable and skilled Equipment Operator to join our DOT Guardrail crew. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating heavy machinery, and contributing to infrastructure projects that keep roadways safe.

As an Equipment Operator, you'll assist in the installation of guardrail systems on Department of Transportation (DOT) jobs throughout Iowa and neighboring states. You'll work on a traveling crew Monday through Friday—no weekend travel.

Responsibilities:

Operate equipment including post drivers, skid steers, backhoes, and other heavy machinery
Assist in the installation of highway guardrails and safety barriers
Load and unload materials and tools
Ensure job site safety and equipment maintenance
Travel to job sites Monday through Friday
Work as part of a cohesive and safety-minded team

Requirements:

Valid driver’s license (CDL STRONGLY preferred or willingness to obtain)
Proven experience operating construction or heavy equipment
Willingness to travel during the week (home by Friday)
Ability to work in outdoor conditions
Strong work ethic and reliability

This is a non-exempt, hourly, position that with a starting hourly wage rate up to , negotiable upon candidate’s experience level and possession of a CDL. Overtime during the construction season is expected.
